Tomb Falcon brings two worlds into violent, beautiful collision — the ancient and the absolutely now. To the left, a canopic figure rendered in deep, lustrous black — hieroglyphs at the base, the formal stillness of something made for eternity, for the dark interior of a tomb that was never meant to be opened. To the right, a falcon deity spreads its wings in gold and teal, the sacred bird of Horus rendered with the devotional attention of someone who understands that some images were always meant to last.

Between them and behind them — magenta, violet, yellow, the gestural energy of a contemporary painter who refuses to stand reverently at a respectful distance from history and instead pulls it forward into the present tense where it belongs. Handprints. Marks. The evidence of a living hand in conversation with the hands of makers who worked four millennia before.

The gold catches the light. The black absorbs it. The magenta refuses to do either.

Tomb Falcon is a painting about time — specifically about the complete failure of time to diminish the things made with genuine devotion. The falcon still flies. The figure still stands. The tomb is open and the light got in and this is what happened.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We offer free shipping on most works, with shipping costs (when applicable) never exceeding 10% of the piece's price. Large canvases ship rolled in a professional tube; oversized works requiring special packaging may be an exception, and we're happy to provide a quote. International collectors are responsible for any duties and taxes upon arrival.

Can I receive my painting already stretched and framed?

Large works ship rolled by default for safety in transit. If you'd prefer your piece delivered already on stretcher bars, contact us before purchasing for a separate shipping quote at your own expense. If you're interested in framing, reach out to claire@clairepriceartist.com to discuss your vision — we're happy to provide quotes and mockups to help you visualize the finished piece.

What if I'm not happy with my purchase?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receiving the work. Choosing an artwork is a deeply personal experience, and we'll do our best to help place the right piece in your home — if something isn't right, contact us immediately and we'll try to facilitate an exchange or, if necessary, a refund. For returns, the client is responsible for the cost of shipping and insuring the piece back to us; once it arrives safely, a full refund is issued minus shipping and related expenses.

Is each piece truly one of a kind?

Yes — every original is a unique, one-of-one work, signed by the artist on the front and/or back, and shipped with a certificate of authenticity establishing provenance. The artist retains all copyright to the image, and reserves the right to reproduce it as prints or use it in future projects, at her discretion.

Do you take custom commissions?

Occasionally, by inquiry. Commission pricing is calculated at $4.50 per square inch, with a 50% non-refundable deposit required to begin. Contact us to discuss your piece and confirm availability.
