MAMAN VULVA Collage on Wood Panel | 30" × 30" | 2026

Everything it is to be a woman. On one panel. All of it true simultaneously.

Maman Vulva is a talisman collection — a gathering of the objects, images, anatomical diagrams, crystals, body parts, memories and practical realities that constitute a woman's interior world, arranged on a wood panel with the careful, obsessive attention of someone who has been collecting evidence for a long time and finally has enough to make the case.

The anatomical illustrations arrive from another century — a spine, a hand, a torso rendered with the clinical precision of medical science that has historically examined the female body as object rather than subject. Here they are reclaimed, repositioned, surrounded by blue crystal formations that belong to a completely different kind of knowledge — older, less legible, more true. A heart. An eye. The letters V U A emerging from the centre of the composition like a word forming in real time. MAMAN written in the lower half — mother, the French word carrying more weight than the English one somehow, more body, more everything.

The collage moves between registers without apology — the scientific and the magical, the sentimental and the logical, the expected and the completely surprising. Landscape photographs sit beside anatomy. Crystals beside data tables. The feminine beside the clinical beside the dreamed beside the remembered beside the utterly practical.

This is what it is to be a woman — all of these things, all of the time, none of them cancelling the others out, the whole assembly held together by something that isn't logic but is considerably more reliable than logic.

Maman Vulva is a significant new work. Among the most personally and conceptually ambitious pieces in the 2026 collection. A work that asks to be looked at for a long time and rewards every minute of it.

FAQ

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We offer free shipping on most works, with shipping costs (when applicable) never exceeding 10% of the piece's price. Large canvases ship rolled in a professional tube; oversized works requiring special packaging may be an exception, and we're happy to provide a quote. International collectors are responsible for any duties and taxes upon arrival.

Can I receive my painting already stretched and framed?

Large works ship rolled by default for safety in transit. If you'd prefer your piece delivered already on stretcher bars, contact us before purchasing for a separate shipping quote at your own expense. If you're interested in framing, reach out to claire@clairepriceartist.com to discuss your vision — we're happy to provide quotes and mockups to help you visualize the finished piece.

What if I'm not happy with my purchase?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receiving the work. Choosing an artwork is a deeply personal experience, and we'll do our best to help place the right piece in your home — if something isn't right, contact us immediately and we'll try to facilitate an exchange or, if necessary, a refund. For returns, the client is responsible for the cost of shipping and insuring the piece back to us; once it arrives safely, a full refund is issued minus shipping and related expenses.

Is each piece truly one of a kind?

Yes — every original is a unique, one-of-one work, signed by the artist on the front and/or back, and shipped with a certificate of authenticity establishing provenance. The artist retains all copyright to the image, and reserves the right to reproduce it as prints or use it in future projects, at her discretion.

Do you take custom commissions?

Occasionally, by inquiry. Commission pricing is calculated at $4.50 per square inch, with a 50% non-refundable deposit required to begin. Contact us to discuss your piece and confirm availability.
