UNICORN MASTER Acrylic on Canvas | 36" × 36"

This actually happened. Someone walked a unicorn down a Chanel catwalk.

Unicorn Master is painted from a photograph taken at a Chanel fashion show — one of those moments that the fashion world produces occasionally, almost accidentally, when spectacle tips over into something genuinely surreal and stays there. A figure in a top hat, black coat and deep purple skirt stands beside a white unicorn with the calm, practiced ease of someone who does this regularly and finds nothing remarkable about it. The unicorn, for its part, appears to agree.

The painting captures that particular quality of high fashion at its most committed — the complete, straight-faced delivery of the utterly impossible as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Which, in a Chanel show, it apparently is.

The background is all dark atmospheric energy — deep blue-black trees, teal water reflections, purple and green — painted with loose, expressive brushwork that gives the scene the quality of a dream or a fairy tale or a very expensive afternoon in a forest that doesn't quite exist. The unicorn glows white against it. The figure is absolute. The horn catches the light.

Unicorn Master is the painting for the person who understands that fashion and art have always been having the same conversation — about beauty, about transformation, about the extraordinary lengths to which humans will go to make something unforgettable.

Chanel made the moment. This painting made it permanent.

FAQ

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We offer free shipping on most works, with shipping costs (when applicable) never exceeding 10% of the piece's price. Large canvases ship rolled in a professional tube; oversized works requiring special packaging may be an exception, and we're happy to provide a quote. International collectors are responsible for any duties and taxes upon arrival.

Can I receive my painting already stretched and framed?

Large works ship rolled by default for safety in transit. If you'd prefer your piece delivered already on stretcher bars, contact us before purchasing for a separate shipping quote at your own expense. If you're interested in framing, reach out to claire@clairepriceartist.com to discuss your vision — we're happy to provide quotes and mockups to help you visualize the finished piece.

What if I'm not happy with my purchase?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receiving the work. Choosing an artwork is a deeply personal experience, and we'll do our best to help place the right piece in your home — if something isn't right, contact us immediately and we'll try to facilitate an exchange or, if necessary, a refund. For returns, the client is responsible for the cost of shipping and insuring the piece back to us; once it arrives safely, a full refund is issued minus shipping and related expenses.

Is each piece truly one of a kind?

Yes — every original is a unique, one-of-one work, signed by the artist on the front and/or back, and shipped with a certificate of authenticity establishing provenance. The artist retains all copyright to the image, and reserves the right to reproduce it as prints or use it in future projects, at her discretion.

Do you take custom commissions?

Occasionally, by inquiry. Commission pricing is calculated at $4.50 per square inch, with a 50% non-refundable deposit required to begin. Contact us to discuss your piece and confirm availability.
