Dead Rock Stars is a painting about exactly that — the moment when a person becomes a symbol, when individual identity dissolves into something larger and stranger and more permanent than any single human life.

The faces are masked, absent, replaced by letters, symbols, fragments of collage. And yet every figure is instantly recognisable. Which tells you everything about what fame actually does — it doesn't preserve a person. It transforms them into a shape that belongs to everyone.

The surface is joyful and relentless — hot pink, cobalt, red, gold, black — figures pressing against each other in a crowd that has no edges, a visual chorus of archetypes rendered in layered acrylic and collage with the rhythmic, celebratory energy of a concert that is simultaneously a wake.
