Nature doesn't do straight lines. Interwoven doesn't either.

A single botanical form fills the canvas with the kind of exuberant, fractal complexity that only living things achieve — frilled, folded, layered upon itself in endless green repetition that is simultaneously chaotic and perfectly ordered. Coral? Kale? Sea lettuce? Something from a rock pool or a kitchen garden or a planet with better vegetation than ours? It doesn't matter. What matters is that it is completely, gloriously alive.

The green is everything — deep forest at the centres where the frills fold inward, electric lime where the light catches the edges, every shade between rendered with a patience and attention that rewards close looking. The ground is warm blush linen — the colour of skin, of sand, of something natural and unhurried — against which the botanical subject glows with almost supernatural intensity.
