Lad's Lads is a celebration — of masculinity, camaraderie, nostalgia and pure painterly bravado. Drawn from the visual language of vintage sporting photography, these five men are rendered in bold, expressive acrylics against a ground of electric green, their striped jerseys dissolving into a riot of pink, yellow, cobalt and purple. The brushwork is confident and loose, the palette completely unapologetic.
