DAISY LAMB Acrylic, Pastel & Collage on Wood Panel | 11" × 14" | 2025

Everything new. Everything soft. Everything just beginning.

Daisy Lamb is a painting of pure spring — a small lamb, barely there, stands among an explosion of white daisies painted in thick, joyful impasto against a ground of lavender, pink, cobalt and the most vivid orange imaginable. The colours are the colours of a world that has just decided to exist and is very pleased about it. The lamb is golden and impossibly gentle. The daisies press forward with the cheerful insistence of flowers that have been waiting all winter and are making up for lost time.

This is a painting about innocence — the particular, irreplaceable innocence of new things. New lambs. New babies. New seasons. The moment just after arrival when everything is still possible and nothing has been decided yet.

The mixed media surface — acrylic, pastel and collage on wood panel — gives the work a richness and texture that rewards close looking. The daisies are almost sculptural, built up in thick white paint that catches the light. The lamb is collaged, tender, held gently by everything surrounding it.

Daisy Lamb would make an extraordinarily beautiful gift for a new arrival — a nursery painting that grows with a child rather than being outgrown, joyful and alive and made with complete, unironic love for the subject.

FAQ

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We offer free shipping on most works, with shipping costs (when applicable) never exceeding 10% of the piece's price. Large canvases ship rolled in a professional tube; oversized works requiring special packaging may be an exception, and we're happy to provide a quote. International collectors are responsible for any duties and taxes upon arrival.

Can I receive my painting already stretched and framed?

Large works ship rolled by default for safety in transit. If you'd prefer your piece delivered already on stretcher bars, contact us before purchasing for a separate shipping quote at your own expense. If you're interested in framing, reach out to claire@clairepriceartist.com to discuss your vision — we're happy to provide quotes and mockups to help you visualize the finished piece.

What if I'm not happy with my purchase?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receiving the work. Choosing an artwork is a deeply personal experience, and we'll do our best to help place the right piece in your home — if something isn't right, contact us immediately and we'll try to facilitate an exchange or, if necessary, a refund. For returns, the client is responsible for the cost of shipping and insuring the piece back to us; once it arrives safely, a full refund is issued minus shipping and related expenses.

Is each piece truly one of a kind?

Yes — every original is a unique, one-of-one work, signed by the artist on the front and/or back, and shipped with a certificate of authenticity establishing provenance. The artist retains all copyright to the image, and reserves the right to reproduce it as prints or use it in future projects, at her discretion.

Do you take custom commissions?

Occasionally, by inquiry. Commission pricing is calculated at $4.50 per square inch, with a 50% non-refundable deposit required to begin. Contact us to discuss your piece and confirm availability.
