INNOCENCE Acrylic on Canvas | 16" × 20" | 2025

There are things in this world that arrive without armour. This is one of them.

A spotted fawn steps forward on a ground of blush pink and soft lavender — tentative, wide-eyed, perfectly itself. Above it, three lupin blooms in deep cobalt and teal float like small celebrations or guardian spirits, their painted texture rich and impasto against the soft, layered ground. Words drift across the surface in cursive — sweet, baby, innocence — written into the paint like a whisper, like a lullaby, like something you say very quietly so as not to startle anything.

The surface is alive with texture — paint applied with feeling, scraped back in places, built up in others, the kind of surface that changes as the light moves across it. There is nothing careful here in the sense of being guarded. It is careful in the sense of being full of care.

Innocence would find its home in a nursery, a child's room, a bedroom that wants softness without sentimentality, or on the wall of anyone who simply believes the world needs more tenderness in it. Which it does. Always.

FAQ

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We offer free shipping on most works, with shipping costs (when applicable) never exceeding 10% of the piece's price. Large canvases ship rolled in a professional tube; oversized works requiring special packaging may be an exception, and we're happy to provide a quote. International collectors are responsible for any duties and taxes upon arrival.

Can I receive my painting already stretched and framed?

Large works ship rolled by default for safety in transit. If you'd prefer your piece delivered already on stretcher bars, contact us before purchasing for a separate shipping quote at your own expense. If you're interested in framing, reach out to claire@clairepriceartist.com to discuss your vision — we're happy to provide quotes and mockups to help you visualize the finished piece.

What if I'm not happy with my purchase?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receiving the work. Choosing an artwork is a deeply personal experience, and we'll do our best to help place the right piece in your home — if something isn't right, contact us immediately and we'll try to facilitate an exchange or, if necessary, a refund. For returns, the client is responsible for the cost of shipping and insuring the piece back to us; once it arrives safely, a full refund is issued minus shipping and related expenses.

Is each piece truly one of a kind?

Yes — every original is a unique, one-of-one work, signed by the artist on the front and/or back, and shipped with a certificate of authenticity establishing provenance. The artist retains all copyright to the image, and reserves the right to reproduce it as prints or use it in future projects, at her discretion.

Do you take custom commissions?

Occasionally, by inquiry. Commission pricing is calculated at $4.50 per square inch, with a 50% non-refundable deposit required to begin. Contact us to discuss your piece and confirm availability.
