Where Dead Rock Stars burns in the dark — all crimson and near-black and the heat of mythology — Faceless Faces Pastels dissolves into light. The same radical gesture — faces present, features absent, identity replaced by hair and silhouette and the shape of a head that somehow carries everything — rendered here in the softest, most luminous palette imaginable. Blush pink, powder blue, warm peach, lavender, the particular yellow of late afternoon light through a window. A crowd rendered in the colours of a dream you had once and almost remembered.

Letters drift through the composition — A, B, H, X — the alphabet of anonymity, the taxonomy of people who have been categorised and filed and referenced but never quite pinned down. Every figure is simultaneously nobody and somebody you know. The bearded one. The one with red hair. The one in the circle. The one looking away.
