ROTTY PIZZAZ Acrylic & Spray Paint on Wood Panel | 11" × 14" | 2022 Custom Framed

He has something to say. He is saying it directly.

Rotty Pizzaz is a Rottweiler at full volume — mouth open, teeth absolutely present, the full force of the breed's considerable personality delivered directly at the picture plane with zero ambiguity and considerable style. The expression is not aggression so much as pure, unfiltered communication. He has a point. He is making it. You will listen.

Behind him the background is hot pink and deep green — spray paint geometric shapes cutting across each other with the graphic energy of a punk poster or a Jean-Michel Basquiat notebook page, the colour combination simultaneously jarring and completely right. The contrast between the careful, layered painting of the dog — the black and tan of the coat built up in impasto marks that give the fur genuine texture and presence — and the raw, gestural spray paint of the background creates a tension that is the whole painting. The dog is real. The background is attitude. Together they are something considerably more interesting than either would be alone.

The custom black frame contains all of that energy with the deadpan confidence of a frame that knows exactly what it's doing.

Rotty Pizzaz. He has pizzaz. Obviously.

FAQ

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We offer free shipping on most works, with shipping costs (when applicable) never exceeding 10% of the piece's price. Large canvases ship rolled in a professional tube; oversized works requiring special packaging may be an exception, and we're happy to provide a quote. International collectors are responsible for any duties and taxes upon arrival.

Can I receive my painting already stretched and framed?

Large works ship rolled by default for safety in transit. If you'd prefer your piece delivered already on stretcher bars, contact us before purchasing for a separate shipping quote at your own expense. If you're interested in framing, reach out to claire@clairepriceartist.com to discuss your vision — we're happy to provide quotes and mockups to help you visualize the finished piece.

What if I'm not happy with my purchase?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receiving the work. Choosing an artwork is a deeply personal experience, and we'll do our best to help place the right piece in your home — if something isn't right, contact us immediately and we'll try to facilitate an exchange or, if necessary, a refund. For returns, the client is responsible for the cost of shipping and insuring the piece back to us; once it arrives safely, a full refund is issued minus shipping and related expenses.

Is each piece truly one of a kind?

Yes — every original is a unique, one-of-one work, signed by the artist on the front and/or back, and shipped with a certificate of authenticity establishing provenance. The artist retains all copyright to the image, and reserves the right to reproduce it as prints or use it in future projects, at her discretion.

Do you take custom commissions?

Occasionally, by inquiry. Commission pricing is calculated at $4.50 per square inch, with a 50% non-refundable deposit required to begin. Contact us to discuss your piece and confirm availability.
