A large teal figure-eight dominates the canvas — bold, spray-painted, the kind of mark that belongs on a wall in a city that doesn't sleep. Behind and through it, tropical foliage erupts in deep crimson, hot pink and near-black — banana leaves or something like them, fragmented, urgent, painted with the kind of gestural intensity that suggests something growing very fast in very limited light. Red marks fall like signals or sparks or the last transmissions of something that burned bright and brief.

The eight. Infinity rotated ninety degrees. A number that closes on itself and keeps going. A signal that means everything or nothing depending on where you're standing when you receive it.
