SOFT SERVE Acrylic on Canvas | 36" × 48" | 2026 Delicacies Series

Pink. Swirled. Cherry on top. Obviously.

Soft Serve is the Delicacies Series at its most joyful and its most technically assured simultaneously — a towering soft serve ice cream cone painted at near life-size on a large canvas, the pink swirl built up in thick, sculptural impasto that you can practically feel twist beneath the brush. The waffle cone is golden and geometric, its crosshatch pattern rendered with the kind of patient, loving attention that transforms a cone into something worthy of serious looking. The cherry sits on top with complete inevitability. Sprinkles catch the light.

The ground is pale and luminous — white and grey with faint marks drifting across it like the ghosts of other paintings, other afternoons, other decisions — giving the ice cream the quality of something appearing out of light itself. Pure and a little bit miraculous. The way ice cream always is when you really need one.

This is painting as pure pleasure. As the argument — entirely convincing, completely unapologetic — that the things that make us happy deserve to be made large and looked at carefully and hung on walls where we will see them every day.

The Delicacies Series has never been more delicious.

FAQ

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We offer free shipping on most works, with shipping costs (when applicable) never exceeding 10% of the piece's price. Large canvases ship rolled in a professional tube; oversized works requiring special packaging may be an exception, and we're happy to provide a quote. International collectors are responsible for any duties and taxes upon arrival.

Can I receive my painting already stretched and framed?

Large works ship rolled by default for safety in transit. If you'd prefer your piece delivered already on stretcher bars, contact us before purchasing for a separate shipping quote at your own expense. If you're interested in framing, reach out to claire@clairepriceartist.com to discuss your vision — we're happy to provide quotes and mockups to help you visualize the finished piece.

What if I'm not happy with my purchase?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receiving the work. Choosing an artwork is a deeply personal experience, and we'll do our best to help place the right piece in your home — if something isn't right, contact us immediately and we'll try to facilitate an exchange or, if necessary, a refund. For returns, the client is responsible for the cost of shipping and insuring the piece back to us; once it arrives safely, a full refund is issued minus shipping and related expenses.

Is each piece truly one of a kind?

Yes — every original is a unique, one-of-one work, signed by the artist on the front and/or back, and shipped with a certificate of authenticity establishing provenance. The artist retains all copyright to the image, and reserves the right to reproduce it as prints or use it in future projects, at her discretion.

Do you take custom commissions?

Occasionally, by inquiry. Commission pricing is calculated at $4.50 per square inch, with a 50% non-refundable deposit required to begin. Contact us to discuss your piece and confirm availability.
