A quiet composition built from fragments of another life.
This original work is constructed on a luminous bronze-painted canvas, layered with collaged vintage book covers gathered from the streets of Paris. Their worn surfaces—creased spines, faded papers, and time-softened edges—are arranged into a structured grid, each element carrying its own history.
Set within this framework are two hand-painted miniatures: a delicate white cat, caught mid-step, and a small standing bear, rendered with warmth and presence. These intimate figures emerge like memories—unexpected, slightly surreal—bringing narrative and life into the composition.
There is a subtle tension between order and softness, archive and imagination. The aged materials ground the work in time, while the painted animals introduce a sense of story, innocence, and quiet wonder.
